ELI5: What is the Sponsor My Body trend?
The Sponsor My Body trend is a new take on sports and creator sponsorship where a person sells specific advertising space on their body to brands.
The idea became widely discussed in September 2026 after entrepreneur Marc Lou created a sponsorship auction for his HYROX race. Instead of having one traditional sponsor, he divided his body into separate advertising areas such as his chest, shoulders, arms, back and legs. Brands could pay for individual placements, with the winning logos intended to appear as temporary tattoos during the race.
It is basically the same idea used in Formula 1, cycling or football jerseys, except the advertising inventory is the person themselves.
The concept becomes more interesting when the physical placement is combined with other deliverables such as race photographs, Instagram content, videos or brand mentions.
SponsorMyBody.com is building on this idea by exploring a marketplace where athletes and creators can make their own sponsorship placements available to brands instead of every person having to create their own sponsorship auction.
SponsorMyBody.com is an independent project and is not owned by or officially affiliated with Marc Lou.
