Imagine you have a lot of toys. You could keep them all in your bedroom, right? That's like keeping things on your own computer or phone. But what if your room gets too small, or you want to share your toys with your friends who live far away?

That's where the cloud comes in!

Think of the cloud as a giant, super-organized toy room that everyone can use, but it's not your room. It's a big warehouse full of computers managed by companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.

Instead of keeping your toys (pictures, documents, videos, etc.) just in your bedroom (your phone/computer), you can put copies of them in this giant toy room.

Here's how it works in everyday life:

• Saving Pictures: When you take a photo with your phone and it automatically backs up to Google Photos or iCloud, it's being stored in the cloud. If your phone breaks, your photos are still safe!

• Watching Movies: When you watch a movie on Netflix or Disney+, the movie isn't stored on your TV. It's stored in the cloud and streamed to you.

• Using Email: Your emails in Gmail or Outlook aren't stored just on your computer. They're stored in the cloud, so you can access them from anywhere.

• Sharing Documents: When you work on a document in Google Docs with your friends, you're all using the cloud. Everyone can see and edit the same document, even if you're not in the same room!
