Imagine you and your friends have a secret club. Instead of using real money, you create your own special tokens called "FriendCoins".

• Cryptocurrency is like FriendCoins, but for the whole world, not just your club. It's a digital form of money.

• Traditional money, like dollars or euros, is controlled by a central bank (like the government's money manager). They decide how much money to print.

• Cryptocurrency isn't controlled by any single bank or government. It's decentralized. This means lots of computers all over the world keep track of who owns how much.

• This record-keeping system is called a blockchain. Think of it as a shared, super-secure notebook that everyone in the club can see, but no one can erase or secretly change.

• When you send FriendCoins (or cryptocurrency) to someone, the transaction is added to the blockchain. This is like writing it down in the notebook.

• To make sure no one cheats and adds fake transactions, special club members (called miners in the crypto world) use their computers to solve complicated puzzles. If they solve the puzzle, the transaction is confirmed and added to the blockchain. They get rewarded with more FriendCoins (or cryptocurrency) for their work.
