ELI5: What is Christianity and what do Christians believe?

Christianity is a religion where people believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that following his teachings helps them have a good life and go to heaven.

Imagine you have a really good friend who always helps you, tells you the truth, and shows you how to be kind to others. That's kind of like what Jesus is to Christians. They believe God sent Jesus to Earth to show everyone how to live a good life and to save them from bad things.

Christians believe in:
