Falsifiable means that a statement is falsifiable if you can imagine a real test or observation that could prove it wrong.

Think of it like playing a game where you can lose. If your claim is falsifiable, there is a clear way to show it is not true.

• Imagine you say, "All cookies in this jar are chocolate." This is falsifiable because if you open the jar and find one cookie that is not chocolate (like a vanilla one), you have proven your statement wrong [2][4].
• Now imagine you say, "My invisible ghost friend only shows up when no one is looking." This is not falsifiable. You can never prove it wrong because there is no way to test for something that hides whenever you try to look [8][13].

• Real Fact (Falsifiable): "This plant dies if I don't water it for a week." You can test this by stopping the water and seeing if it dies. If it stays alive, the statement is wrong [4][5].
• Silly Guess (Not Falsifiable): "Bad luck makes me lose." You can never test "bad luck" because it is invisible and can explain away any result. If you win, they say "luck changed," and if you lose, they say "luck was bad" [13].
